Answer 1
First of all, you shouldn’t worry. This is completely normal. A new mattress and pillow, made out of material designed to relieve tension, naturally has an odour. This smell is neither toxic nor dangerous to your health. If the mattress odour is distracting, it is advisable to air out the room where the mattress is located and remove the sheets for a few hours so fresh air can penetrate it. If your mattress is wrapped with a flame-proof mattress-cover, the odour may persist for a longer time. In this case, we recommend that you remove it until the smell has completely dissipated.
All our mattresses are made of high density material. Therefore, since they contain more ingredients than a conventional foam mattress, it is normal that they emit more odours. This will eventually disappear. The high density material that we use allows our mattresses to reach a high performance level.
In regards to the pillow, a few hours of airing out will improve the situation.

Answer 3
There is no link between warmth and pressure relief materials. Many believe since this material is heat sensitive, the mattress is necessarily warmer. Several external factors, linked to the user of the product can create the impression that they are warmer. The user however would experience this same sensation on a traditional mattress.
At Zedbed, we are always striving to improve the quality of our mattresses. That is why we have decided to offer mattresses containing integrated ventilation channels to insure air circulation. Also, some of these mattresses are equipped with a ventilated pad so they will have the same advantages. Coolmax® material makes it possible to keep the mattress fresh and comfortable all night long. We mustn’t forget that an adult loses on average up to 1 litre of water per night, naturally, without any link whatsoever to the mattress. Our mattresses therefore contradict the belief certain consumers have concerning mattresses that are made out of memory foam.

Yes, zeddbed mattresses are sensitive to temperature variations. Your mattress can become firmer when located in rooms where the temperature is cooler. When you are on the mattress, it adapts itself to your body temperature and becomes more comfortable. Therefore it must be kept at room temperature and to avoid exposing it regularly to extreme conditions of cold or warmth. If your mattress is delivered during winter, it is possible that it can be firmer then it was in the store because of the low-temperature outside.
